Abstract
This research paper examines the short story Bheriya (The Wolf) byFarooqSarwar through the lens of eco-criticism, focusing on its inclusion in Urdutextbooksandits relevance to contemporary environmental and social discourse. Bheriya is asymbolicnarrative that critiques systemic injustice and highlights the interconnectednessofhumansuffering and environmental degradation. Farooq Sarwar, a multilingual writer andlegalprofessional, uses this allegory to reflect on societal inequalities andtheimbalancecaused by the exploitation of natural and social resources.
